CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION

The Love of Truth Ministries REFINING ABOLITION Conference and Mission is two-fold. To begin, It will focus on what we need to do as abolitionists to abolish abortion in this post-Roe land. In addition, we will look at how the abolition movement can continue to be refined as we move forward to total abolition.

Roe v Wade is no more, but is abortion actually abolished in Texas and in this nation? Did you know that though Roe was “reversed” it was never actually “overturned?” Why is this? It is simply because Roe was never law. Courts don’t make law and only laws can be overturned! In addition, rest assured that the Dobbs decision from SCOTUS was no better. With Dobbs, they said that states have the power to regulate abortion. But, is this really true? Unfortunately, post-Roe, the abortion holocaust is still alive and well! The Bible says “You shall not pollute the land in which you live, for blood pollutes the land…” (Numbers 35:33). In America, our land has been polluted with the innocent blood of the pre-born. God will not bless a nation that turns its back on Him and continues to allow child sacrifice to run rampant (Psalm 33:12). Unfortunately, the “pro-life” establishment and politicians have largely failed to end this holocaust. Have we been compromising in our approach? Have we compromised in our incremental and regulatory legislation? Have we compromised in the political realm by whom we support, vote for, and put in office (by supporting those who support the regulation of abortion, and supporting the “lesser of two evils”)? (Exodus 18:21 and Proverbs 29:2). Just like the abolitionists of slavery, there is a new movement today… it is the abolition of abortion movement. It is past time to rise up and demand the total and complete abolition of abortion in our land!

With that said, we as abolitionists, need to continue to check ourselves, hold each other accountable, learn and grow. After all, we are sinful and fallible human beings and should never get to a place where we think we are perfect and have everything all figured out. Just like God desires His children to be continually refined in conformed in His likeness, our thinking and actions to abolish abortion need to follow suit. God’s word states, “For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried.” (Psalm 66:10). In addition, Proverbs 27:7 says, “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” Let us learn and grow together in the Lord!

We thank God that you have decided to attend this conference where we pray that you will find out how you can become part of history by becoming a modern-day abolitionist of abortion!

• How abortion can still be carried out at every stage in Texas
• Why babies are still being denied equal protection
• How we can actually develop a strategy to abolish abortion in this state and the whole union
• How to employ effective grassroots activism on the streets and at the local abortion facilities
• How to advance righteous public policy to establish justice
• How to engage in local, life-saving outreach
• How to use gracious and persuasive anti-abortion apologetics • How to become an effective and consistent abortion abolitionist

Mr. Jon Speed

Jon Speed is the Pastor of Missions and Evangelism at By The Word Baptist Church in Azle, TX. He is the author of Evangelism in the New Testament and co-producer of the pro-life documentary, Babies Are Murdered Here. In January of 2019 he went viral for closing his bookstore in protest of New York’s reproductive health act and went on Fox and Friends, Hannity, and Glenn Beck. Jon is married to Kim and they have five children. http://bytheword.org/

Mrs. Kayla Suderman

Mrs. Kayla Suderman is the author of Post-Roe Reformation and a contributing blogger for Abolitionists Rising, where she supports the organization through writing contributions and editorial assistance. She also works with AIM KS, a Kansas-based abolitionist group, helping create marketing materials and drafting abolition bill memos for state legislators. When possible, Kayla ministers alongside local believers at Planned Parenthood in Wichita, KS. Above all, her greatest priorities are being a faithful wife to her husband, Brad, of 17 years, and homeschooling their four children

Dr. Daryl Rodriguez

Dr. Daryl has been fighting abortion since 1991, towards the tale end of the initial rescue movement. Formerly, he planted and co-pastored a Bible Church in N.E. San Antonio and was the head of the Bible/Apologetics department at Bracken Christian School, in Bulverde, Texas. He is currently an assistant professor of religion at Liberty University and he is president of Love of Truth Ministries, a training and outreach ministry aimed to preach the gospel and abolish abortion. He also has been actively involved in the current abolition of abortion movement since 2014. Dr. Daryl Rodriguez holds a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at San Antonio, a Master’s of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, and Doctor of Ministry from Southern Evangelical Seminary in Apologetics. He is also the owner-operator of Trinity Jiu Jitsu martial arts school. He and his wife, Colleen, daughter, Amaris, and son, Zion, live in Spring Branch, Texas.

Pastor Nathan Clardy

In September of 2022, Nathan Clardy became the seventh pastor of Calvary Hills Baptist Church in San Antonio Texas. Their family served for seven years with the International Mission Board before joining Calvary Hills. Since returning to the states, Nathan has sought to engage abolition through his preaching ministry an involvement in local college campus and abortion facility outreach. Although he grew up an Air Force child, he is primarily from Texas. Nathan graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and he also earned his Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2011. He and his wife Morgan have four children and reside in San Antonio.

Mr. Charlie Speed

For almost 12 years Mr. Charlie Speed has been a Christian and member of By The Word Baptist Chruch in Azle, TX. After being homeschooled, he graduated in 2022. In 2020, God opened his eyes to the injustice of abortion, and following the lead and influence of his father (Pastor Jon Speed), he became heavily involved in the abolitionist movement. Currently, Charlie engages in various outreach efforts, including IVF outreach, preaching, photography, video editing, and advocating for abolitionist legislation. HIs passion is to spread the gospel and expose the holocaust of abortion.
