Resolution For Equal Protection For Ectopics

Coalition For The Equal Protection For Ectopics

This resolution is written and provided in order for churches, denominational committees, ministries, political organizations, legislators, lobbyists, and individuals to adopt a biblically consistent position and response to ectopic babies created in the image of Almighty God.

THE RESOLUTION:

(1) WHEREAS, from the moment of conception/fertilization, all humans are created in God’s image by, through, and for Jesus Christ to the glory of God, and all souls belong to Him (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 51:5-6; Colossians 1:16; Romans 11:36; Ezekiel 18:4), and

(2) WHEREAS, to murder any preborn image-bearer is a sin, violating both the natural law of retributive justice as set forth in the Noahic covenant, the sixth commandment forbidding murder, and the law of Christ to love our neighbor (Genesis 4:10, 9:5-6; Exodus 20:13; Proverbs 6:17; Mark 12:31; 1 John 3:12), and

(3) WHEREAS, the ends do not justify the means, we should never do evil that good may come, nor should we ever murder one image-bearer for the sake of another image-bearer’s life, (Romans 3:8; Proverbs 14:12; Matthew 5:21), and

(4) WHEREAS, ectopic babies are created in the image of God and have the inherent right to life and equal protection of law, now, be it therefore

(5) RESOLVED, that we deny that the removal of a dead ectopic baby is an abortion, and be it further

(6) RESOLVED, that we deny that the preterm delivery or simple removal of a live ectopic baby, that is of viable age (able to live outside of the womb), even if it results in the unintended baby’s death, is an abortion, and be it further

(7) RESOLVED, that we deny that any true attempt to save an ectopic baby’s life through some life-saving procedure (such as uterine transplantation), even if it results in the unintended baby’s death, is an abortion, and be it further

(8) RESOLVED, that we affirm that the act of killing a live ectopic baby (through procedures such as salpingectomy, salpingostomy, or methotrexate), with no true attempt to save its life, is an abortion and is not morally or biblically justified, and be it further

(9) RESOLVED, that we affirm that the act of killing a live ectopic baby (through procedures such as salpingectomy, salpingostomy, or methotrexate), with no true attempt to save its life does not qualify as medical triage or treatment, and be it further

(10) RESOLVED, that we affirm that the removal of a live ectopic baby (through procedures such as salpingectomy or salpingostomy), that is not of viable age, with no true attempt to save its life, does not qualify as preterm delivery, and be it further

(11) RESOLVED, that we affirm that such an act of killing a live ectopic baby (through procedures such as salpingectomy, salpingostomy, or methotrexate) with no true attempt to save its life has the direct intent of killing the ectopic child and is an unlawful regulation of abortion, violating the child’s unalienable rights to life and equal protection (in every state in the union) as stated in the Declaration of Independence, and the United States Constitution’s Preamble and Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments, and be it further

(12) RESOLVED, that we will not support the inclusion of any regulatory ectopic exception language or ideas in any legislative bill, resolution, or statement that could be construed to contradict this stated resolution.
